DNS Monitors
A DNS monitor resolves a domain name and evaluates the DNS assertions you configure.
Configuration
Choose DNS and enter a hostname, such as example.com, without an HTTP scheme or path. Add assertions using the record types and comparisons offered by the editor. Set the expected record value, check interval, and locations, then save.
Use DNS checks for records important to your service, such as address or mail-routing records. DNS caching and propagation can cause results to differ between locations; review the record and affected location before concluding that a change has propagated everywhere.
A passing DNS check does not prove the resolved host serves working HTTP or TCP traffic. Add a separate HTTP or TCP check for that service.
