Create Your First Status Page

Create the page

  1. Sign in to the Probed dashboard and open Status pages.
  2. Create a page with its name and a unique slug. Use a public page for this Builder walkthrough. Protected pages use Components and Settings instead.
  3. Open the page's Builder tab. If you do not have a monitor yet, follow Create your first monitor, finish creating it, and return to the Builder.

Compose and preview

  1. Expand Monitors. Use + Monitor → Existing monitor to add a workspace monitor, or add a static component for a service you manage manually. Give each component a clear customer-facing name. Arrange related services into groups where useful.
  2. Expand Page content and edit the heading, description, logo, and contact or homepage links.
  3. Under Display, choose a layout such as Status timeline, Compact status, or Technical overview, then adjust the history and monitor presentation you need.
  4. Under Components, choose which sections and controls visitors should see. Use Color scheme for the page's theme; options requiring an upgrade are marked in the editor.
  5. Inspect the private preview. On mobile, use the Edit and Preview tabs. Show example helps you inspect a layout without publishing illustrative data; the preview's status banner and events still reflect saved components.

Save and verify

Click Save changes, wait for confirmation, and use Saved page to open the visitor-facing page. Check it in a browser without a dashboard session and on a narrow screen. Unsaved Builder edits do not change what visitors see.

If the Builder asks you to confirm component removal, check the list: removing a component also unlinks it from reports, maintenance windows, and subscriptions. If another editor changed the page, preserve anything you need from your draft before choosing Reload saved version.

Do not publish internal target URLs, request headers, credentials, or private diagnostic details. Add status reports for incidents and maintenance windows for planned work.

See the Builder reference for preview behavior, draft recovery, settings, and MCP automation.
