Maintenance Windows

Maintenance windows communicate planned work on a status page. Set a title, start and end dates, message, and affected components.

Schedule a window

Open your status page in the dashboard and create maintenance. Choose the dates carefully, review the displayed timezone, and select the affected components. Review the subscriber notification option before publishing.

A scheduled window communicates planned impact. It does not stop your infrastructure or replace your monitor configuration.

Publish progress

Use maintenance updates to add timestamped messages as work progresses. Updates appear in a timeline, and the latest update supplies the maintenance's current message. You can edit timeline messages and dates from the dashboard; preview the public content after a change.

Dashboard attribution identifies the team members who created or edited records. Public maintenance history includes messages and dates without exposing dashboard user profiles.

For unplanned incidents, use a status report.
