Create Your First Monitor

Create the monitor

1. Open Probed and select your workspace.
2. Open Monitors and create a monitor.
3. Choose HTTP, give it a recognizable name, and enter an HTTPS endpoint you control, such as https://example.com/health.
4. Select the check interval and locations available to your workspace.
5. Configure assertions for the response your health endpoint should return, then save.

Use a read-only health endpoint. Requests with methods such as POST or DELETE can change the target system.

Verify the result

Open the monitor and wait for a check result. Confirm the location, status, and response time. If it fails, check DNS, firewall rules, TLS, authentication headers, and your assertions before changing the timeout.
